What Wyoming asks
In Wyoming a home-based educational program counts as a private school: you teach a sequentially progressive curriculum in reading, writing, math, civics, history, literature and science, and since July 1, 2025 you no longer send that curriculum to the school district. If you take a child under 18 out of a public school without telling the district you are enrolling in a home-based program, you meet in person with a district counselor or administrator to give written consent to the withdrawal.
School age: Ages 7–15. A child whose 7th birthday falls on or before August 1 (September 15 if the child started kindergarten early with an approved request) must attend until the 16th birthday or until finishing 10th grade.
Wyoming has 2 legal ways to homeschool. Pick the one that fits your family; Homepen asks you when you set up.

- The statute requires attendance at a public or private school 'during the entire time that the public schools shall be in session in the district'; the Department of Education's homeschooling page restates the duty as making sure the child is enrolled in a private school, public school or home-based program, without that time clause. Neither gives a day or hour count for home-based programs, so time is shown as not verified.
