What Delaware asks
In Delaware a homeschool is a nonpublic school: each year the family sends the Department of Education a statement of enrollment by September 30 and an end-of-year attendance report by July 31. The law sets no required days, hours, subjects, tests or teacher qualifications for a single-family homeschool.
School age: Ages 5–15. The law covers children "between 5 and 16 years of age" (read here as until the 16th birthday); a child counts as 5 if the fifth birthday is on or before August 31. Parents may ask the school to evaluate readiness and delay kindergarten by one year.
Delaware has 3 legal ways to homeschool. Pick the one that fits your family; Homepen asks you when you set up.
