The 4-day homeschool week
Four days of lessons and one free day for trips, co-op or catching up. Check that the year still adds up.
Choose your four days
Many families keep Friday for field trips, co-op, projects or rest.
Keep the core daily
Math and reading on all four days; spread the rest.
Count the weeks
If your state counts days, a 4-day week needs more weeks: 172 days = 43 weeks, 175 days = 44 weeks, 180 days = 45 weeks, 186 days = 47 weeks.
Count the hours
If your state counts hours, the same hours over four days means longer days. The calculator shows hours per day.
